Since "items" and "options" exist independently in HRBC, it is possible to use the options created for item A on item B as well.
For example, you can use the same "Location (Area)" option on the item "work location" of JOB and the item "desired work location" for resume as shown in the image below.
※ "Phase" is an option type item, but since it has a flow control function, it is managed separately from option editing.
For details, please refer to Customizing Phase.
Only 2 hierarchy levels can be set in HRBC and can not be changed to 3 levels.
If you want to subdivide the contents of options and manage them, please subdivide into the first or second hierarchy as below.
Example) When the original "job title" is as shown below
Clerical/Administrative > Administrative work
>Accounting / finance
Pattern 1: Recreate the option of the second hierarchy as the first hierarchy
Administrative work > CEO
> Director
Pattern 2: Subdivide the options of the second hierarchy
Clerical/Administrative > Administrative work (CEO)
> Administrative work (Director)
If you want to create a new option master or to add, edit, or delete the contents of an option, click Edit on the Option Schema on the Customization screen.
The title list of the option master is displayed in order of date created on the right side of the screen.
■ Creating a New Option Master
If you want to create a new option master from zero, click the "New" button at the top of the list.
First of all, assign a name which becomes the title of option master for the purpose of internal management, and save it.
This setting is not an actual option.
The assigned title is displayed on the upper left side of the screen and can be changed.
To create an option, click "Add new" at the top right of the screen.
Enter the name as the option of the first level and save it.
Repeat the same operation and create as many options as you need.
If you want to create the option for 2nd hierarchy level, first create the option for the first level and click "Add New".
Choose from the "parent option" dropdown menu which one of the options to create in the 1st hierarchy.
After selecting the parent option, enter the name that will be the choice of the second hierarchy and save it.
After creating all the options, check the contents displayed and save it.
※ Note that if you cancel at this point, all the settings at this point will be discarded.
The option master created will be displayed at the bottom of the list.
■ Editing Options
If you want to add a new option to the created option master or to edit an existing option, click on the pencil button of the corresponding option master.
Deleting an Option
If you want to delete an existing option, please click the trash can button on the left side of the corresponding option.
If you have an option with 2 hierarchies and you wish to delete it with its subordinate options, by deleting the 1st hierarchy (parent option), the second hierarchy will be deleted too.
Confirm that the option has been deleted and save.
※ Note that if you cancel at this point, all the settings at this point will be discarded.
Editing an Option
If you want to change the name of an existing option, please click the pencil button on the left side of the corresponding option.
The editing screen will open, change the name and save.
After confirming that the changed contents have reflected, save.
※ Note that if you cancel at this point, all the settings at this point will be discarded.
How to hide options
For existing options, if you do not want to delete it but want to hide it so that it can not be selected, click on the pencil button on the left side of the corresponding option.
Check the "Hide" check box and save.
Confirm that "Hide" is displayed on the right side of the corresponding option and save it.
※ Note that if you cancel at this point, all the settings at this point will be discarded.
■ Deleting Option Master
If you want to delete the option master itself instead of deleting the individual options, click the trash button of the corresponding option master on the list screen of the option master.
A confirmation message will be displayed, so click "Yes".
When the deletion is completed successfully, the display disappears from the list screen of the option master.
If the option master is being used in an item somewhere, you will get an error message saying "This option can not be deleted because it is being used in another item."
※ Even if it is being used in hidden items it will also result in an error.
If an error occurs, please check each item whether it is being used.
If it is an unnecessary item, delete the item and perform the operation of deleting the option master again.
※ Please note that registered data will also be deleted.
